What began as a hobby has long since become a way of life for the Ambs team - whether it's senior boss Josef, managing director Andreas or many other employees. For them, cycling is the ideal balance to their work at the winery and means freedom and a dynamic balance in an otherwise sometimes hectic everyday life. It doesn't matter whether it's a short after-work ride or an extended tour through the border triangle with France and Switzerland: A love of cycling unites the team, helps you switch off and strengthens the community.

The winery's jerseys were intended to be young, modern and eye-catching - and thus carry the spirit of “Herz über Kopf” out into the world. The bright mint-colored logo on a black background attracts attention and makes people turn around - and ask what the team is all about.
There are now around 80 kits on the road in the tri-border region around Kaiserstuhl and Freiburg - but also all over the world. In addition to friends and acquaintances of the winery, the “Herz über Kopf” team is constantly receiving pictures of the kits from the most beautiful places in Europe, from the Alpine Diagonal to the Pyrenees and Mallorca.
Why wine and cycling go so well together
Many people think of beer when they think of the classic “after-sport drink”. But why not a glass of wine? Whether as a reward after a challenging route or in a convivial get-together with friends - wine and cycling are the perfect match in this location and the most exciting conversations often arise over a good drop of wine after sport.
The winery organizes small and large social rides several times a year - and of course there is usually a small wine tasting with the “Herz über Kopf” wines after the tour.
