At CUORE, we are obsessed with speed. Every stitch, every seam, and every fabric choice in our gear is meticulously crafted to push the limits of performance. Our latest innovation, the Gold Pro Speed Suit, is the culmination of over 12 months of dedicated research and development—six of those months focused exclusively on refining this suit.

We know that a cyclist's arms, shoulders, legs, and lower back are critical areas when it comes to aerodynamics, so our goal was to optimize these key aero zones. By carefully selecting fabrics and strategically placing seams, we’ve optimized airflow across the body to reduce drag. Our design philosophy isn’t just about smoothing airflow—it’s about managing turbulence in the right places to create the most efficient combination of laminar and turbulent flow.
Tested on the Track, in the Wind Tunnel, and by USA Cycling
We never settle for theory alone. Real-world testing is at the core of our process. The Gold Pro Speed Suit has been extensively tested both on the track and in the wind tunnel, ensuring its performance in various conditions.
A key part of our development process has been our partnership with USA Cycling. By working with elite athletes across a variety of body types and riding styles, we’ve gathered crucial insights to refine and optimize the suit. USA Cycling is always searching for the best-performing gear, and their input has been invaluable in helping us push the limits of what’s possible.
“Cuore has been an exceptional partner to USA Cycling since 2020, playing a key role in the research and development of our competition clothing. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every piece they produce, providing our athletes with world-class performance apparel that meets the highest standards of elite sport.” - Jim Miller - Chief of Sports Performance at USA Cycling
Before we even start building a suit, we put fabrics through extensive testing. This step helps us narrow down material choices without having to construct multiple prototypes. Through this process, we’ve discovered that some fabrics excel at higher speeds (30 km/h+), while others perform better in lower-speed conditions. Every decision we make—down to the texture of the fabric—plays a role in the aerodynamics of the final product.
The Science Behind Aerodynamic Apparel
The principles behind the Gold Pro Speed Suit are rooted in aerodynamic science. Research shows that a cyclist’s clothing plays a significant role in air resistance, with the head, arms, and legs being particularly crucial areas for drag reduction.

A study on the surface shape of cycling suit fabrics found that air resistance in these key zones can be reduced by up to 8% by adjusting fabric texture and suit construction. This reinforces the importance of material selection, panel shaping, and seam placement in optimizing airflow.
By fine-tuning these elements, we ensure that the Gold Pro Speed Suit delivers the most aerodynamic advantage possible—helping riders cut through the wind with maximum efficiency.
Always Looking Ahead
We believe that the pursuit of speed is never finished. Even as we launch the Gold Pro Speed Suit, we are already working on the next evolution of our performance apparel. By combining cutting-edge research with real-world testing and rider feedback, we continue to push the boundaries of aerodynamic efficiency.
The Gold Pro Speed Suit represents everything we stand for: precision engineering, relentless innovation, and a commitment to performance. And this is just the beginning.
